Privacy Policy
PlateRamp is built by Baker Ventures LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy describes what the PlateRamp app does with data. PlateRamp is in development and has not been released yet; this policy describes the app as it is built today and stays in force once it ships.
The short version
PlateRamp collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising code in the app. Your numbers are written to storage on your own device and are never sent anywhere. We cannot see them, because they never reach us.
What the app stores on your device
All of it stays on the phone, in the app's own private storage:
- Your setup answers. Pounds or kilos, how many whole months since you last trained consistently, how many years you trained before that, the weight of the bar you use, and which plate pairs you have.
- The lifts you used to do. For each one: the weight you used to work with and how many reps you got at it.
- The sets you log. Weight, reps, how many reps you had left, and when.
- The date your ramp started, which is what week numbers are counted from.
- Subscription state. Whether a subscription is active on this device.
That is the complete list. PlateRamp does not ask for your name, your email address, your date of birth, your body weight, your height, a photo, a pain level, a symptom, an injury or a diagnosis, and there is nowhere in the app to enter any of them.
What the app does not do
- No account and no sign-in. Nothing to create, nothing to recover.
- No network requests of its own. Every lift, illustration and calculation is bundled in the app, and nothing is downloaded, uploaded or reported. The app works in airplane mode. The one exception is a tap you make yourself: the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use links, on the paywall and in Settings, hand those two addresses to your browser, which then loads this site like any other web page. The app sends nothing along with them — no identifier, no device information, and nothing you have entered.
- No analytics and no crash reporting. No PostHog, no Sentry, no Firebase, no advertising or attribution SDK of any kind.
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or calendar access. The app requests none of these permissions.
- No Apple Health. PlateRamp neither reads nor writes any health data. It has no HealthKit entitlement.
- No notifications. The app has no notification code and no push token, so it cannot send you anything.
- No social features. There is no feed, no profile, no sharing and no other users. Nobody else can see anything you enter.
- No advertising identifier and no tracking across apps or websites.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Apple does not give us your name, your address or your payment details; we would receive only whether a subscription is active. Purchases are not wired up in the current version of the app, so nothing contacts a payment or subscription service. When they are enabled we intend to use RevenueCat to read the App Store's receipt, and this page will name it here, with the date it changed, before that ships.
Children's privacy
PlateRamp is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. Since the app collects nothing, there is no children's data for us to hold.
Your choices
- Start over. Settings → Start a new ramp clears the plan and asks the setup questions again.
- Delete the app. Removing PlateRamp removes its storage with it. Nothing survives on a server, because nothing was ever on one.
- Ask us anything. Email rsb.baker+plateramp@gmail.com. We have no database to search on your behalf — that is the point — but we will answer the question.
This is not medical advice
PlateRamp works out a starting weight from numbers you type in. It is not medical advice, not physical therapy, and not an assessment of anything. See the Terms for the full statement.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts doing something this page does not describe — analytics, crash reporting, an account, sync, Apple Health — this page changes first, with a new effective date, and the change is named here rather than folded in quietly.
